Affiliate Disclosure

Useful Nook may earn a commission when you click certain product or retailer links on this site and make a purchase. This does not add extra cost to you.

Affiliate links help support the time spent researching, writing, editing, and maintaining Useful Nook. They do not change the core rule of the site: Useful first. Shopping second.

Plain-English version

If a guide includes a product link and you buy through that link, Useful Nook may receive a small commission. We still choose topics and product categories based on practical usefulness, not because a product has an affiliate program.

How affiliate links may appear

Some future Useful Nook guides may include links to marketplaces, retailers, or product pages. These links may be affiliate links when a relevant affiliate program is available.

When product links are added, our goal is to keep them close to the part of the guide where they are useful, not scattered around as random shopping prompts.

Our editorial approach

  • We start with the reader’s problem first: storage, cleaning prevention, small-space use, renter-friendly fixes, or budget-friendly home improvements.
  • We prefer low-risk product categories and practical details such as size, material, cleaning effort, installation, and fit.
  • We do not publish fake testing claims. If we have not personally tested a product, we will not say that we have.
  • We do not accept paid placement that is disguised as independent editorial advice.
  • A product mention should support the guide. If measuring first, reusing something, or skipping the purchase is the better advice, we can say that too.

Prices, availability, and product details

Product prices, shipping terms, ratings, seller details, coupons, and availability can change quickly. Always check the current details on the retailer’s page before buying.

For home and kitchen products especially, please check measurements, materials, installation requirements, cleaning instructions, and return policies. A useful item for one apartment, rental, or small kitchen may not fit another.

What affiliate income does not mean

  • It does not mean every linked product is personally tested by Useful Nook.
  • It does not mean the retailer controls our wording or recommendations.
  • It does not mean you should buy something without checking whether it fits your space and budget.
